Children's Home & Centre

Child Health & Nutrition

Most children taken into our Children's Home need more than just a place to feel at home. With poor nutrition and diseases, this children find the absolute care at MACODEP.

Protection & Counselling

Poverty and violent parenting can affect the child's mental health. That's why we are committed to providing a safe haven for vulnerable children through counselling.

Education & Nurturing

The GOT Osimbo project intends to provide education sponsorships through our donation program to cater for the talents and academic growth of children from Kibera slum.

THE MACODEP CHILDREN'S HOME

We step in as both a primary care giver and a foster parent.

Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) are a major concern in Kibera. Broader OVC issues include the fact that these children do not have the basic material needs that their families would supply – food, security, shelter, clothing, schooling, access to quality health and medical services (including psychological support services) and parental love and the feeling of the belonging.

MACODEP Children's Home and Centre

The children in MACODEP’s Children’s Home & Centre come from various backgrounds; some do not have a safe or positive relationship with their primary care giver, some have been dispossessed of property and disinherited, and others have lost family to violence and illness.

MACODEP attempts to help these children by stepping in as both a primary care giver and a foster parent that caters for all their material needs.
